Post Hurricane Floyd Hello

I just wanted to say hi to everyone here at a.t.d. This is my first day online after no phone service in New Jersey due to Hurricane Floyd. In fact, the lines are so slow now, I can barely type. This storm was horrible. I truly feel for everyone in North Carolina. New Jersey rarely gets hit with a tropical storm (which Floyd became as it hit NJ) and the Carolinas do almost every year. It was so bad here, I can barely imagine how bad it is in NC. But I hope everyone else in the area managed to survive the storms with homes intact. I think Jordan is also from NJ. So, again, hello. And I hope everyone in areas affected by Floyd are doing well.

Whereabouts in New Jersey were you? I'm in Tuckerton and we didn't get hit too bad ... my fiancee, in Mystic Island, two miles nearer the coast, suffered a power outage for a few hours.

I live in Rockaway, Morris County, which wasn't too bad. But where I work in Paramus, there was no phone service, power outages, and we have to boil the water due to contamination. North and Central New Jersey got hit worse than the coastal areas due to heavy winds and rain. Yikes! But I'm glad you and your fiancee are ok.
