Ms. Li and executions

I was just re-reading "The Daria Database" and noticed Ms. Li's letter to Governor George W. Bush of Texas and have come to the conclusion that Ms. Li is homicidal. She is congratulating Gov. Bush on the record high executions in 1997. She then goes on to say how 80% of Lawndale High's budget goes toward surveillence cameras and strip seraches to ensure each student his or her constitutional right to a safe and free education. Aaaugh!! She scares me enough on the show, now I find her even scarier in the book. Yeek!

In any case, the database is great (so is daria diaries). I can't wait until MTV puts out the next book. Anyone know if one is in the works? And I'm still awaiting new eps of Daria. :-(

No matter what, Ms. Li scares me. And she kind of seems like an evil, Asian Thelma from Scooby Doo. I'm just waiting for her to say "Jinkies" one day.

I think enforcing reasonable and fair discipline (i.e. not tolerating violence, even when engaged in by "popular" kids) would defuse situations like the one at Columbine HS long before they escalated to the use of knives, let alone guns.
