I've Got This Song in My Head!!!!

"You've got to be Manly....Manly!!!!!!!!" hehe that song is sooo cool!!! I luv it!!!!! For the past two days I've had songs from "Daria! The Musical" in my head. Anything from Gah, Gah Dammit to that song in the end..Morning Here We Come or whatever it's called! ok , so I have a question for all of you: Who do you think is the best singer? I personally think that Jane and Quinn were pretty good singers(and..what a coincidence, Wendy Hoopes does both of their voices!!)Jake was a good singer too.The worst singer was definitely Britney. Her voice was SO annoying...oh yeah and Mack's voice was pretty bad, too. Ms. Barch's voice sounds kinda like Britney's! Did anyone else notice that? ok well, g2g, c-ya all :-)

About the commercial for the season premiere. The one where supposedly objective people are coming out of the screening, and give their supposedly honest reviews. I never believe any commercial, no matter what they say. If they say the sky is blue, I�d check to make sure (that�s a bad example since I live near Seattle). It� s just too easy for whoever is in control to alter the results. That destroys any credibility they could ever have with me. If they want to mention cars or whatever, I�ll sit through it but generally my feeling is a big �Ya, Right� about just about anything I see on TV. That�s why I was so worried that this episode would be terrible. It was simply because �they� said it would be so great.

I was wrong however. That episode actually was great! I found myself whistling several of the songs all through work the other day. I was doing engine work on one of those trucks that carry new cars to the dealerships. One of my fellow diesel mechanics asked me what I was whistling. I just told him it was a song I�d heard but when I mentioned Daria, he of course had never heard of the show. Even though I like my coworkers I�m a real puzzle to them. I�m a science fiction reading, computer literate (even computer programming), dreamer while most of them are football watching, beer drinking, Ex highschool jock, shadetree mechanics. I�m no Daria but I know what it�s like to be different (I�ve always been different).

Anyway, for me the high points of the show had to be� 1. When Quin�s voice shook as she was nervously making coca. She actually seemed worried about Daria! 2. During the store/office segment when Helen and Quin showed how much alike they really are. They both have to be the best at whatever they have chosen to be good at. I found that very touching. 3. �They must be worried�. That was good song. I wish they could have made it longer. In fact the whole show should have been pushed out to an hour. 4. The fact that even though the guys in this show are so lame, there are times when even they come in handy. Even a smart girl like Dara can�t use her intellect and sarcasm to break down a rather stout door. She might have been able to find another way out of course (using that intellect) but if she wants that door broken down, she needed Kevin to do it.

The few things I didn�t like had to be� 1. The fact that the storm was just about to blow the shack down and they had to get out before it collapsed but when they got the door open it was totally calm. There were a couple other things but they aren�t even worth mentioning.

That was a parody of all the commercials for Broadway shows, movies, etc. showing people coming out of the theater raving about what they'd just seen. All of those people probably were paid 20 bucks or something to read off of a cue card.

The season premiere helped me find out that several of my friends are addicted to the show like myself. I've seen the episode 3 times and have enjoyed it. It's not my favorite episode, but not my least favorite

I really liked Jake. The actor managed to sing pretty darn good while conveying a lot of extreme emotion.

Of course Wendy Hoopes, doing several voices, had the toughest row to hoe, and she performed really well in all her roles.
