I was addressing an envelope at work today to Quinn Avenue.
It was in the city of 'Vacaville.'
Ok, it struck me as funny. Apologies to any Darianers from Vacaville. 8)

I know what you mean. In my neighborhood, we have a Barksdale Drive (Helen's maiden name-- ok, so it's a little on the obscure side. So?) and I always chuckle a little (or at least smirk) every time I see the sign.

In one of the villages between here and Nottingham, there's a Trent Lane (as there is, ISTR, in Nottingham itself). And there's a company in Scunthorpe called "Trent Lifting Services Limited." Don't know of a Jane Lane, sadly, but in Boston there's "Jane's Party Shop."
It amuses me, mildly, if no-one else!

There's that river called the Trent, isn't there? I have no idea where it is, my geographical skills leave something to be desired.
I can't think of any, I know there's something I remember that's the name of someone, but I can't remember what......I think there's a Lawndale Avenue somewhere, coming off that road that goes to Windsor or somewhere if you travel down it for long enough. Yes, I don't even have a sense of local geography, I couldn't tell you how to get from here to the town centre......
Strange man.....

You knew that already! You do mean that it's strange that it amuses me mildly, and not greatly? 8-/
Just speculate under what circumstances the Lanes would send for Trent Lifting Services (he gets a job and needs to get up?). What would make Jane open a Party Shop? And how long would it last? ("Yes, I designed the napkins myself. And you have some comments about the games we supplied for the little ones? Can't wait to see you.").

I haven't seen a Jane Lane, but I always see a Fire Lane every time I go to the grocery store. I wonder what Fire did that was so great?

Jane: Uh-oh, someone just put us in a position of responsibility.
Daria: The day has suddenly turned sinister.
Fire Lane.. hmmm.. I think if you have an eternity on your hands, you should walk down Fire Lane and just keep walking. See if you eventually come across a sign that says "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here."
