"Fair Enough" was a Fair Enough episode...

I don't know *why* everyone is bagging on "Fair Enough"...it might not be a *great* Daria episode, but it isn't half bad. I'd give it a B-. If it wasn't for Upchuck as the court jester/minstrel, the Unhinged Teacher as The Black Knight, Daria and Jane giving a bunch of kids a history lesson, and the food fight in the dinner theatre, this would have been as bad as everyone says. But those moments *made it* for me.

I actually thought the ferris wheel ride o' doom was good for a couple of laughs, too, in a very sick sort of way...

It was very interesting to see Daria become compassionate while Jane suggested Ms. Fashion Club slit her wrists. I've noticed that Jane can be quite testy when dealing with Fashion Clubbers...particularily Quinn.

I enjoyed the episode, but not the way I usually enjoy Daria. I just happen to dislike RenFairs, so I tend to enjoy any mockery directed their way.

And let's face it, UpChuck's minstreling was pretty dead-on.

Jane has probably lived in Lawndale for years (if not since she was born...?) and has been going to school with those people for quite a while. You can see how they could get on your nerves after a few years.
