Besides that PPMB is monitored, are there any significant differences between PPMB and Google Groups alt.tv.daria? Sorry asking such an insolent question but I am only a Daria Fan since July 2001.

Alt.tv.daria takes three or more hours to actually show your posting - PPMB updates right away.
But if you want a third choice, there's always the SRMB. Find it at [http://members.boardhost.com/SUSUexp/]. It's not as active as the PPMB, but it is unmonitored.

i really hate the proliferation of message boards, each of which you have to check manually, each of which you have to login to. Whereas news you just download the groups you are interested in automatically from a single source. But then again news is old boaring and doesn't have all the flashy bits that the hotmail generation wants. For the record I don't really like webmail either :)
Also I won't on principle sign up for any censord board like PPMB, yes it's PP's baord and he can do what he likes with it, though I do understand the need to protect himself leagally.
