But didn't Daria edit out the footage of Quinn commenting about her pores before showing the final version of the film to the class?

I'm feeling a bit down at the moment, because this was the first episode of Daria I've seen that I thought was almost unworthy of the series. I'll try to write obliquely enough to avoid major spoilers for readers who haven't seen this episode yet, but I must vent a little...
The premise was far removed from the realistic and moderately universal themes that Daria usually deals with -- it was an obvious and contrived setup that seemed much more like a network sitcom. And the dramatic "twist" which called for Quinn to display a sudden outburst of sincerity was entirely predictable...and entirely improbable under the circumstances. I can well imagine Daria suffering an attack of conscience, but setting it up that way didn't work -- we should have seen it brought on by something else, something a bit less diagrammatic and forced.
Don't even get me started on that dream sequence! Between this and the similar event in "Quinn The Brain," is it possible that some story editing signals got crossed somewhere along the way? Daria's dream would have been a lot more shocking and disturbing if we hadn't seen something similar just a few weeks before. (The image of Quinn in Daria's clothes was also a wasted opportunity; that scene could have been played up a lot more, and also could have made an interesting counterpoint.)
The episode wasn't a complete loss, of course: no 22 minutes (or whatever the length of an episode is) spent listening to those wonderful voices could ever be considered a waste of time. Daria's brilliant retort to Kevin's line in front of the theatre about the vegetables was an utterly classic line and will probably turn up on everyone's "most quotable" lists. Mr. O'Neill was captured perfectly in all his patronizing creepy sincerity. And Jake's response to his old home movies was very touching -- that was the part of the episode which worked best for me.
Even Daria is entitled to a subpar episode every once in a while. They can't all be "Cafe Disaffecto" or "The Misery Chick"...

I thought they handled the set-up well. I wasn't happy with the girls' treatment of Mr. O'Neill, however. They should have appreciated that he was a cool guy and was at the cool movie festival. Also, one of them could sat with him in the front seat, airbags not withstanding.
I didn't see it that way. Quinn's smart and she's certainly not beyond a bit of self-awareness. Quinn was just being Quinn, which means, sometimes, unpredictable.
Funny, I was more upset with Daria's conscience attack. Also, shouldn't she have cleared it with Jane? It was a joint project, after all.
Really? I thought that was hilarious. I always like Daria in Quinn clothing, and vice versa. Plus...triple Janes!!!

How dare you??? I don't think he was even 1% patronizing. He was there to see the movie. He was into the movie. He understood the movie. He wanted to discuss it with his students. He gave them a ride home. He was incredibly considerate of Daria's feelings when she didn't want to sit in the back seat because of the "airbag." And, he believed them when they said they couldn't hear him. The only patronizing people in that scene were Jane and Daria!!!
Again, it was too predicatable. Of course he wasn't going to enjoy his childhood Super 8s.
I did like Daria's reaction to his skinned knee..."It is better now, isn't it?"
No they can't, but I think this had a bit more to offer than you're giving it credit for.

Besides that, this episode comes in second of my favourites (sorry, Richard :) ). Having Daria follow Quinn around all day was a really good story line. ("Don't you want to shoot me?" "Yes...I want to shoot you.") Like you, Richard, I DID think that Quinn's I-Am-A-Human-Too revelation WAS a bit overdone, but it allowed for that funny "Save the whales 'n' stuff" ending of the tape. And Daria's realization that there is only just the surface-Quinn was just the topper. This show was filled with the dry but witty one-liners I like to hear Daria utter.
And hey...the dream bit had three Janes. THREE JANES. For those of use who love Jane, this was...er...a dream come true.
I was bothered by an apparent error in the previous week's episode. Perhaps I misinterpreted something, and others can clarify.
At the start, Daria's parents were showing an old home movie of Daria and Quinn, which made it look like Daria was about four years old and Quinn was half that age. What?! Good Lord in Heaven, no. Quinn is a year younger, at least. They are in different grades. (although in most of those flashback scenes, Quinn looks at least two years younger, which would be awkward if Daria is supposed to be a sophomore - eighth graders and sophomores wouldn't be in the same school. But I don't know definitively what grade Daria is in.)
