He was a Dominican, and we discussed the subject, of course, but never with the slang abbreviation "S&M." "Whips and Chains" was what my peers called it. Also, I seem to always be begging ignorance, but I've seen this "<g>" thing alot. What does it stand for? The smileys I can see, but I can't quite put a face on this "<g>" thing.

Au contraire! I'm more confused than ever. How could Kevin have ever confused mnemonic device for and "S&M" device? Is this a bit like trying to figure out why a schizophrenic hears voices?

Again, perhaps I don't want to know?

This is Kevin we're talking about. Do you think he would actually know what "mnemonic" means, and in the correct context? I'd also guess that all he knows about S&M is that it involves leather, whips, and chains. He hears a word which he knows nothing about, and assumes it belongs to another subject, which he knows only a little about. And before you know it, he's opened his mouth and proven his stupidity again.

If hearing how stupid Kevin is upsets you, then you don't want to know.
