Daria Mac User?

I may be doing a presentation on MacOS X,

I would like to work Daria into it, Some people have said Daria is a Mac user. Is there any proof of this other than Quinn's Powerbook 540c in "The New Kid"

Absolutely nothing. But if you're an OS zealot, any chance you get to hype your prefered OS... :)

So far the episodes have shown a computer. Nothing more. No way to establish which OS/hardware vender/whatever. And you know? It doesn't mean a damn thing...I'd be dissapointed if they did actually come out with a product endorsement.

You say, The book "The Daria Database" proved once and for all to the world that Daria uses a Macintosh. If you needed further confirmation, this screen-shot from a Season 3 episode is more proof.

Oh yeah, and the picture on the rear flyleaf looks an awful lot like Daria is sitting in front of a Quadra 610/Centris 610 or a PowerMac 61xx.

Another thing, for Brian...no PC keyboard I know of has a mouse connected to the keyboard. I have seen 2 button and multi-button Mac mice, either ADB or USB.

The hardware shown in the drawings in "The Daria Database" still looks awful Mac-like.

I still say it looks like an old-school Compaq; the oval logo tag, oval indent over the middle of the floppy drive, disk eject button (could be power/HD lights, does seem placed kind of weird to be a disk button). But its also a very odd drawing. The mouse connection is shown coming out of the top of the keyboard, all the Macintosh keboards I've seen plug into the side. The drawing shows the cable going into the bottom of the mouse instead of the top by the buttons. The keyboard has three rows of keys grouped together with a fourth row along the top for either the number keys or the function keys. I'm starting to think that Daria built her computer herself and wrote her own operating system (codename "Quinn" until it's stable).

Hey! This is kind of on-topic. sweet. Would Quinn get an iMac to match her outfit or an outfit to match her iMac?

I don't know enough about computers to do much more than broad theorization, but wouldn't they just take random bits from various computers to make sure it didn't look like any type. Michelle's focusing on the Mac parts (totally shocking, because she's such a hardcore mac user...), Brian's focusing on the more traditional parts. In reality, it'd probably be either.
