They cut out every reference to the woman hitting on Jane at the art colony, and I mean every bit of it. Even the part at the end where she tells Daria about it. Also, "Freaking Friends" was cut VERY short too. I guess the "N" isn't progressive enough to air any lesbian themed material.
Was this the same as MTV's edited version?

No; the MTV edits just cut out the occasional unnecessary line or two -- they didn't really affect the story at all.
How true. This didn't hit me until nearly the end of the movie. My fears have been confirmed. So, this probably means no "Gah! Gah! Dammit!" either. Too bad that song describes my feelings all too well.
