re; Boots and Such

Here's an interesting thought. Daria could have obtained her boots from her father,instead of having had to buy them. Jake went to military school as a child, so size would not be a problem if they were a spare pair to begin with...(after all, his feet would have been smaller then ). A more important question would be the things that Jane has on her feet. I can't identify them , though at first I believed them to be snowmobile boots or overshoes (galloshes) of some sort. Ideas ???
