Noggin: The Daria TV Movie was EDITED!

That's right, the Daria TV movie "Is It Fall Yet" was EDITED by Noggin! Some noteworthy exclusions:

-The whole sub-plot about Jane being hit on by the bisexual woman when Jane spent her summer in an art commune was completely cut out.

-Some swearing was removed (I don't understand why they got rid of the word "freakin'" in the first part of the movie) but I'm sure most of Daria's father Jake's swearing was kept in (maybe they kept it because it was in line with his character...)

-At the end of the movie, a "blooper" reel was played, and some of the bloopers were replaced (such as Sandy flipping off the tutor, and the girls in the art commune were naked.)

All in all, I think 10 minutes were cut out the movie. :( Aw, I thought Noggin wouldn't cut Daria (Noggin's "The N" is aimed towards middle schoolers, well beyond "Daria's" audience, but still.) Here's to TNN picking up the show, or better yet, MTV making a new network for their non-music shows.

Actually, I don't remember hearing Jake use his famous catch-phrase "Dammit!" at all. But I don't think he ever did in "IIFY".

Umm... TNN? Yeah, right. TNN's famous for rodeos, action movies, and the WWE (Okay, saving grace kinda, but...). No way they're picking up Daria. I'd rather see Daria make it on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block.

TNN is opening up to animation (they have an animation block planned this fall) of "adult" cartoons, so I think Daria would fit in much better there. Plus, there's no way Viacom would let one of their major shows go to AOLTW's Cartoon Network...
