C5 listings

Today's Channel 5's teletext listings describe Daria as "cartoon fun".

Cartoon fun? Fun?

And it started five minutes late.

It seems to, quite often. I suspect that publishing the scheduled time as 1650 is done to get viewers there for two to five minutes of ads and promos.

Or maybe I'm being cynical.

I'm off to turn on the VCR and see if the PDC worked this time.

Yes, I noted that the ad break started at 16:50. At least there's still no ad break during the show though, so we should be thankful for medium-sized mercies.

I've usually been using PDC so I hadn't noticed what time the show was actually going out.

(The BBC however have an annoying habit of sending the PDC signal early to include over a minute of trailers.)

Yeah a fountain pen would prolly not be effective on that :) Though IIRC there was an Apple palmtop computer that you did use a 'stylus' like thing to write on, so maybe the pen would work with that :)

My brother's palmtop is like that (he has to use one at school and stuff because he can't write properly). It's got a little stick thing you can poke the screen with - well you could, but he damaged it and the screen broke, so now you can't.

Yeah they can be a bit like that, actually thinking about it one of the academics at work has a Casio Cassiopea, which uses the stylus thingy I found that with a bit of practice you could operate the menus and the like with the tip of your finger, though this would be a bit difficult to write with....and my writing's scrawly enough anyways :)

Let's not quibble. At least we've got Series 4 now, and it's better than ever.

Did it??? I was out on Saturday, so I set the VCR for 3:50 as usual and it's fine. The recording starts just at the wedding bit in the title sequence.
