it's monday night, 10:15 and you keep looking at your clock, the remote and the tv back and fourth. you go and get the new tape you bought just for this occasion. you unwrap it and label it. you go in front of the tv and turn it t channel 20, just to be on the safe side you watch part of a road rules rerun. you pop the tape in the vcr and rewind it to make sure (even though it's new). you do a test recording, it works (not to worry if it didn't....you have a spare). it's now 10:20pm and you start to prepare, you sign offline and turn the moniter off . you silence the ringers on your phones (distraction). you goto the bathroom (you woudn't want to miss part of a new ep to pee). you get a glass of water to keep by the couch in case you get thirsty (anything but water is too powerfull and might overwelhm daria). it's 10:25, you set the vcr counter to 00:00 and sit eagarly. you become very nervous for some reason. it is 10:58 you become very excites, you see the road rules credits, you press record. you hear rthe new theme music you love it. you dont stop taping for commrecials. you guess what scenes will be slow mo-ed and put in b&w for the scene before the commercial breaks.
