In the wedding episode, "I Don't" the apathetic usher who was paired with Daria sounded an awful lot like comedian Stephen Wright.
Was that him, or did they just imitate his style?
Also, can anyone confirm whether that was "Jane's" voice as the cool aunt?

Good question. I didn't notice him in the credits, but they go by WAY too fast anyway...plus I'm always checking out the cool alternative versions of the characters.
I was interested in Daria's "figures" remark when Quinn got the cute usher. Daria was matched with this dour guy...which shows that the person matching the bridesmaids and ushers knew what he was doing.
I do have a question about that usher. Daria didn't know who he was, so I'd guess he's not a relative of hers. The bridegroom didn't know who he was, so he couldn't be a relative of the bridegroom or a friend. Who was he and what was he doing there???
Another observation: After showing that Daria can look cute when Quinnized, it seemed patently unfair to portray her as dumpy in "I Don't" with the constant references to her dress. It was obvious the dress was the same, it's just that the seamstress did a lousy job of fitting Daria. The seamstress may have said that Daria doesn't have hips, but we have seen evidence of them in other episodes.
I did like the introduction of Helen's sisters in this episode, which gives us additional insight into her character. When do we get to see the Morgendorfer clan?
I'm sure SOMEONE can.
Hmmm....I was thinking that Aunt Amy sounded like Daria! hahahaha I wonder.....hmmm....

At first I thought it was Daria's voice, too. It would make sense, since this is supposed to be the relative whose style is closest to Daria's. However, the more I listened to their conversation, the more she sounded like Jane.

But otherwise, can we have some praise for the relatively unsung talents of Wendy Hoopes? I think she's one of the most outstanding voice artists working in cartoons today. Whenever Helen and Quinn talk to one another, or those rare occasions when Quinn and Jane talk to one another -- I don't recall Helen and Jane ever having a scene together -- does anyone stop to realize that one person is doing both those voices? I never do! Only later does it hit me how great her work on the show really is.
(And if that *was* Wendy as Amy, doing a remarkable impression of Tracy as Daria, I'm even more impressed. It would almost ease the pain of losing the bet and having to buy you a pizza.)

I kind of hope Jane Lane is closer to her real voice than Helen or Quinn are, though. :-)
BTW, I looked up Wendy Hoopes on the Internet Movie Database and didn't find as comprehensive a list of credits as one might hope for...but did turn up the surprising information that she played a character in the Howard Stern biopic Private Parts. It may have been a very minor character, because there wasn't even a character name listed in the credits. I suppose we'll just have to watch the video and see if we can recognize her voice. I feared this day would come eventually: in spite of my best efforts to avoid it, I finally feel obliged to see Private Parts. Sigh...
