Daria/Trent thing going somewhere... (mini-spoilers)

Anyway, I'm assuming all of us know that the Daria/Trent thing is leading somewhere...but did anyone else wonder if it is going to happen before or after "Daria!" was supposed to have taken place? Considering that it's #307, which means it was probably intended for the 2nd 'batch' of episodes, it may happen before the 2nd batch will start, as a marketing ploy, or after. A couple reasons why I think it may happen before: 1.) Trent is invited to the Morgendorffers. I realize Helen knows who he is from previous eps, but still... 2.) Trent didn't think twice about hugging Daria after the hurricane, and Daria didn't turn bright red when he *did* hug her.

(OK, maybe my reasons are lame, hey, it's been a long day)

Hmm...please let me know what you think, also, if you have any reasons that I didn't think of, let me know.

IMO both their behavior in Daria! indicates it *hasn't* been resolved - Trent is happy to see she's ok (which would be consistant with him thinking of her as a friend - which I think he does given his behavior in Pierce Me, See Jane Run, and Through A Lense Darkly among others - I also think he's aware Daria has a crush on him - yes it's a crush and not true love IMO), and she's still tongue tied :-)

Anyway, for what it's worth (which is absolutely nothing, but what the heck...)

No, I don't think you're nuts -- it really stuck out in my mind when watching [address] as well. I mean, last we saw ("Pierce Me") Helen & Jake were meeting Trent and grilling him until distracted... now Helen talks to him and orders him around like one of the family, not just like "Jane's brother".

Very suspicious.

You're right, she _didn't_ turn bright red! Treant merely said, "looks good" in regard to Daria's glassesless state, and she turned _bright_ red, but she merely appeared just a little uncomfortable when Treant hugged her.
