Casting the character Daria for a movie.

I've always wanted this to happen. When Daria was the stuff I had a few young women in mind that would be perfect to play her, all of them now unfotunately too old. My first choice was Fiona Apple. She WAS Daria. And of course Clair Danes who predated Daria in the fabulous "My So-Called Life". But now that Daria has been away for years I haven't kept up with the new crop of starlets to even know where to begin. Could Alexis Bledel conjure up a deeper monotone? She still looks young enough and I would definitely commision Amy-Sherman Palladino (creator of Gilmore Girls) to write the thing. If I were a producer I would push for a live-action Daria movie in 2006. How would you cast?

She would be a good Brittany. Although, there are probably plenty of other good Brittanys out there.

Thinking of the past animated to live action flops, I would push against a live action movie. Another animated one would be good. Hmmm... Is It Retirement Yet? Nah...
