Tom - His beat-up old car. Sly smile action.

Daria - Notebook with real writing action!

Jane - Easel with real painting acttion!

Trent - You have Sleeping Trent, previously detailed. Muscian Trent has a guitar with playing action. Or practicing action. Sleeping Trent can hold it and he considers this "practicing" too.

Quinn - Lots of makeup and changes of clothes. Considers several other action figures and their cars to count as HER accessories.

Helen - With phone. Well of COURSE she needs her phone. How else could Eric get in touch with her?

Jake - With car. For when he needs to get somewhere FAST. Gah gah damnit!

Tiffany, with squeaking action! Pull her string to hear her say up to 10 dumb things!

Kevin, with stupid grin action!

Hey, now...given the level of animation and the show's pacing...shouldn't these be "inaction figures?"

Don't pull his string, and he says "I'm the QB!" anyway! A mint-condition Kevin doll is expected to become a collector's item, since most of them will be smashed into tiny bits soon after they're purchased.

While the other dolls are either dummy or have just a simple mechanical action or two, the Kevin and Brittany dolls actually come with ArSE, Artificial Stupidity Engine. Using advanced Fluffy Logic (tm) routines, the processor determines the most unappropriate moment for the action. Trying to get some sleep before tomorrow's exam? Thinking about binary decision tree implementations? Under heavy emotional pressure?

"Hey, bro! We are the champinons, my friend."

(Typo intentional.)

Er...Brittany, surely? Tiffany can't work up the energy to squeak. The Tiffany doll comes with hypno-mirror action; it can't pass a mirror without staring into it for hours. Plus, it looks good with the Matt Damon doll!

Plus Nut World outfit! Pull the string and listen to him botch the slogan in ten different ways!

Well, someone else (MMan, if I remember correctly) already pointed out that Trent would be an inaction figure in any case.

Mark Steese a/k/a Corvus Marinus And which doll is the one you can *always* find, usually marked down to $1.99? The Artie doll! Comes with beeper and pizza delivery box.

[Action Man mystery jingle]

Announcer - Mystik Spiral hasn't had gig for three months. The Tank needs repair beyond the capabilities of Jane's glue gun. Looks like a job for...

[Action Man brand theme]

Chorus - Inaction Man, the unsung hero!

[Action Man action jingle]

Trent - This isn't tolerateable. I'm going to lay on this couch until our luck turns.

[Zoom to a clock. The hands start spinning around faster, faster, faster, faster...]

Jane - Hey, you got a gig!

Trent [as in #308, in Daria's first dream scene] - Wow, cool!

Announcer - Yet another day saved by...

[Action Man brand theme]

Chorus - Inaction Man, the unsung hero!

Tiny Text - Actually, there are several songs about the heroic inactions by Trent the Inaction Man. However, these don't count as he made all those himself. Warning! Choking hazard, contains small detachable parts. Not suitable for children under 36 months.

(BTW, have you ever heard anyone saying "Hello, I'm Matt, 651 months."?)

Wow, an actual reason to dust off the G.I.Joe vehicles and playsets.

Eric get

Andrea - With bat-shaped hang-glider and removable skirt for when she goes gothclubbing (Not sure if she really does that, but she WAS at the pub during some of MS's gigs).

Demartino - Super kung-fu grip, and if you press the tiny button on the back of his head, his right eye turns red.

And of course, first there are originals, later there are mediocre remakes........

Antisocial Daria - Green trenchcoat and super roundhouse kick action!

Evil Jane - Hair grown longer and comes with supervillianess gown (Choice of Black, purple, and red).

Headmaster Megatron - How the hell did he get in here? I guess he's hurting for work or something...... :-P

Uberbabe Quinn - Fully-posable (From just about any angle) and anatomacly(?)-correct. Comes with Cheap Motel Room playset and Jamie(c), Jeffy(c), & Joey(c) action figures.

================= WARNING: Due to negligance in assembly, some of the Anisocial Daria(c) action figures were made with 3x cup-size. Report any affected units to:

Actually, you mentioning that makes me think of the various setups for a MS set, including instruments, realistic music replay/lyric argument ("how can you be below sub-zero?") and The Tank storage box... three sets available; Goth Gig, Brittney's Party (with authentic glass shattering mixer desk) and Community Service Skiffle Group (with extra band member)...

There are many nice hotels that belong to chains. I think Hyatt is a bit more upscale than Holiday Inn Express, come to think of it. But they're both chains.

I thought the FC's opposition to chains was mainly about chain restaurants. What about the "Fire" ep? Did the FC girls inquire as to whether or not the hotel belonged to a chain? I don't recall they did, but I could be wrong?

I have nothing against chain hotels; I like to eat at Taco Bell, for that matter. With the Fashion Club, though, it's all about appearances. A Hyatt Regency would probably be acceptable (<Stacy> if they had those really cool little soaps in the bathroom - I *love* those </Stacy>), but I just can't see Quinn being persuaded into a Holiday Inn Express. It *sounds* so downscale.

That hotel had bellhops and other perquisites that suggest something fancier than a typical chain hotel. I'm sure Quinn would have raised holy hell if the service hadn't been up to her standards.

Mack - Has sophisticated voice-recognition capabilities: if he hears you say "Mack Daddy" he replies "Don't call me that! I hate that name!" Comes with wardrobe consisting of "civvies", blue and gold football uniform, and white ice-cream-vendor uniform. No-time-for-him girlfriend and ice-cream truck sold separately.

The O'Neill doll has similar capabilities. Comes as standard with class lists, but has an alternative setup in fatigues where he sings "When johnny comes marching home again", and a limited edition Lawndale High mascot costume which causes him to fall over out of breath. Inhalers also included with each kit. Strange effects occur when brought into proximity of a Barch doll.
