Did anyone else notice that this Real World cast member went totally insane during the filming? Does anyone care? The producers of that show certainly did not; they tolerated the assualt on Irene and made the offending asshole take some silly class. I think the producers wanted to see this poor girl go to pieces on camera and where upset when the main attraction decided to leave.

This is one of the very good reasons why I detest that show so much. The other very good reason is the fact that "Daria" has been preempted numerous times to this show's benefit.

I'd never heard of this show until now. I have to say, that doesn't worry me. It sounds awful.
Is anyone else reminded of pre-Christian Roman entertainment? Bread and circuses....
How long before c5 license this show? Perhaps it's there already. <sigh>

That's what makes Daria so valuable. The cable TV system here sends about 8,000 hours of programming to my home every week. (Figuring 168 hours/week, with 76 channels on the system, less the time that some of those channels are off the air). Less than 1/1000 of it is anything other than vapid drivel, intended to induce me to buy someone's (generally unneccessary) retail products. For those of you keeping score, that means about 99.9% of all TV programming is dreck. I value the < 0.1% of shows that comprise the "anything other."
