.. and you end up having HUNDREDS of postings to sift through.
There were some really interesting threads, but I simply don't think I can reply to everyone individually. Thanks to wicka_chick though, for saying that I'm a cool chick or something to that effect. I think you're pretty cool too :)
Anyway, to anyone who cares, I've just gotten over the mayhem that is the first week of a college semester. I was waitlisted for a Reporting class which I REALLY wanted to get in (it was full before I had a chance to enrol, damn it) and I've been running around trying to buy textbooks (GOD they're ridiculously expensive! Even the damn used ones!) for all my classes. Fortunately, I was the first on the waitlist, so all I had to do was wait for someone to drop the class, and guess what? Someone did! It must've been that inspiring talk the lecturer gave on the first day of class.. ("This will be the toughest class you'll ever take throughout your college experience.")
So I got into "Reporting", and am also taking "History of Journalism," "Critical Thinking and the Third World Experience" (one of those GE classes), and "Earthquakes and the San Andreas Fault" (another one of those GE classes - a useful one, since I'm living on earthquake territory). I'm only taking 4 classes this semester, rather than my usual 5, since "Reporting" really does seem to be that tough. So far, no annoying lecturers. I just hope they remain that way.
And I already have homework and reading assignments *sigh*. To think I complained of boredom just a few days ago...
Well, enough of my little story of mayhem and chaos, what's going on with everyone else here? Oh, congrats rich, on being an uncle :) I'm sure you'd make a great one :)
Okays, enough of that folks. Time to write that essay...
Jane: "Someone's just put us in a position of responsibility." Daria: "The day has suddenly turned sinister."
