Actually, it's not Daria, either--at least not *our* Daria. But I was watching a tape of "The Simpsons Christmas Special," which was actually the very first full-length episode of the show that Fox aired. There's no money for presents, so Homer takes a job as a mall Santa to earn some cash. Unfortunately, after taxes he only gets paid $13.00 on Christmas Eve. Barney Gumbel tips him off to a sure bet at the dog track. Homer goes to the track but bets it all on Santa's Little Helper, a 99-1 longshot. Of course SLH finishes dead last. Homer and Bart are in the parking lot looking at discarded tickets, hoping someone mistakenly threw away a winner, and Barney pulls up in a convertible with a woman at his side and says, "Hey Simpson, what did I tell you? Whirlwind! Let's go, Daria!"
