Weren't WE supposed to pick the Dariathon eps?

Not that I'm complaining (much). I mean, I'm ECSTATIC that MTV is even *having* a Daria Marathon as part of the Final Farewell. But as I look at the posted schedule, I'm still wondering if it's still tentative & if they'll actually show the eps from the 11 categories that were voted for in MTV's website. Otherwise, it would be like the People's Choice Awards soliciting votes and then saying, Screw it, we'll give the awards to whomever we want. (And I have a feeling that's pretty much what they do anyway. I mean, do any of you know who these people ARE who choose the People's Choice Awards? Did any of YOU pick the People's Choice Awards? And can you help me find some People who could possibly get "Daria: Is It College Yet?" nominated for next year's People's Choice Awards?)

Anyway, if anyone cares, these are the eps I voted for on MTV.com. (BTW, the poll was still open when I checked the site around 6pm CST --an hour ago as I type this.)

Category 1: Best Family Outing -- "Psycho Therapy"

Category 5: Best Humiliating Moment --"Ill"

Category 6: Best Costumes -- "It Happened One Nut"

Category 7: Best Fashion Club Moment -- "Fat Like Me"

Category 8: Best Rockin' Good Time -- "Road Worrier"

Category 9: Best Jake Meltdowns -- "Jake of Hearts"

Category 10: Best Kiss --"Dye! Dye! My Darling!"

Category 11: Best Fight -- "I Don't"

Okay, those are my picks. Feel free to post your own picks, and see if we can set a new record for the Longest Thread On This Newsgroup That Is 100% On-Topic. Meanwhile, I'll sit back and look out the window to see when the pigs are flying (when I'm not watching the Dariathon, of course). ;-)

According to TVGuide.com, "Prize Fighters" was supposed to be in the marathon. When I fast-forwarded through my tapes, it looked like it was left out with no replacement.

"Prize Fighters" is, to put it mildly, not exactly my favorite Daria episode, but did MTV really have to shorten the marathon by a half-hour?

As for "Prize Fighters", I finally saw the episode. I agree -- it's definitely not the best Season 5 episode. In fact, it's near the bottom of my list for Season 5 episodes. The only episodes lower than that one are "Fizz Ed" and "Camp Fear", episodes which probably are also at the bottom of the Season 5 episodes for fans.

Yeah, I know. Less than an hour 'til IICY and I'm still half-expecting to see an episode of "Cribs" replace it.

I actually liked "Camp Fear" tolerably well, but true enough I can think of a lot of other season 5 episodes I liked better (not Fizz Ed, though).

Let's just hope IICY turns out to be a worthy finale for Daria.
