Help with Television Without Pity

Do any of you guys visit http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com? If you do, you may know that way down the forums list, under Cartoons and Kids, is a "You're Standing On My Neck" thread for "Daria." Most of the people who post in the thread don't have much knowledge of online fan groups or petitions. Problem is, the thread has a tendency to get buried under more active threads. If those of you with accounts at TWoP could help keep it toward the top, it could be read by more people.

TWoP gets around one million hits a day (I've been told), so if even a tiny handful of that read the thread, it would do a lot to "spread the word," so to speak.

Then why don't they come over here? In the end, part of the problem with things such as browser driven pages like that is that web pages aren't really designed to run threads like that too well, whereas Usenet *is*. IMO, web chats are merely attempts by vested interests to re-invent the net in its own image rather than adapting to what is already available.

And Usenet gets a sight more coverage, doesn't have to advertise its URL all over to get noticed and downloads quicker (as long as you don't start adding binaries!)

Probably because they don't know about it. Outpost Daria was a big enough discovery to them. We can fault them for their ignorance, but the fact is that by occasionally posting in the thread, we can inform them of other options, including alt.tv.daria.
