What About Columbia House?

They put out a lot of TV shows on video. Maybe they would be interested in Daria. A big company like CH should have deep enough pockets to pay what Viacom would ask.

I'd expect to be fobbed off with something like, "We only release products for US and Canadian consumers."

Hey, just saw this group, and the website. I even signed the petition (for all the good that'll do). Looks like I'm gonna have to resort to "other" methods of aquiring Daria shows.

BTW - Does anyone have a list of the Beavis and Butthead episodes that Daria showed up in? I'd really like to know (assuming there is a way to aquire THOSE!).

Outpost Daria has a list on its Episodes page. We don't know how to get ahold of all of them, though. The "Is It College Yet?" DVD does have an Easter Egg, though (its one redeaming feature) where Daria catches B&B mudwrestling.

If you're interest in any Beavis and Butthead DVDs, I purchased "the best of beavis and butthead" from Time Life. It's basically the old box sets (Work Sucks, Chicks and Stuff, etc..) and theres at least 40 eps between 3 DVDs.

The problem may be in getting hold of the DVDs, though. Columbia House appears, from its website http://www.columbiahouse.com to be a club operation, where you sign up for a particular series and they send you a DVD each month. They're unlikely to enrol members from outside North America. <sigh>

IIRC in the UK at least the DTI has siad it has no problems with players being sold as region free, cirtainly mine is :) Well remote freeable anyways. And in my mind as long as you have bought the DVD legitimatly somewhere, the royalties have been paid to the studio/copyright holder anyways. Though as a rule I don't tend to buy anything but R0, but then I'm a cynical b*****d who believes that reigon coding is just there to ensure price hike cause you can't buy cheaper ones in another country anyways.
