Eyecatches...

Hey again!

I'm sure everyone remembers the "eyecatches" in the first three seasons, the black-and-white slow motion replays before the hour long commercials began. Well, these "new-and-improved" speedy eyecatches in season 4.... just make me sick. ^_^ Hehe... I know, it sounds odd. They just don't appeal to me as much as the good old ones. I know the question is a tad late, especially with season 5 (And hopefully 6! ^_-) around the corner, but how about everyone else? The old or the new? Just wondering!

I've never seen them on C5! They show each episode of _Daria_ as a continuous, unbroken whole, with no ad break. 8-)

Perhaps they have more confidence than MTV in their viewers' attention span.

Oops! I'm sorry! My apologies to everyone else watching on C5 or elsewhere that does not show them. That's somewhat of a win/lose situation, however.... No hour long break; but no eyecatches! (Well, IMHO... the newer ones are better off missed! ^_-)

To be honest, I have to agree, concerning the comercial bumpers. When you want to make people think you've improved a car, you slap a new coat of paint on it. This is MTVs answer to doing something new and different to appease the small but very vocal Caria fan community. Do SOMETHING, just so you can say you've done something. In the case of the commercial bumpers, though, it's more annoying than anything.
