Things I noticed (SPOILERS, but for some old eps)

There might be spoilers in here, so I'm gonna put space anyway.

Antisocial Climbers: Not the greatest of episodes, but it was great to see Quinn squirm. She really effed up, and has to practically cut her heart out to make it better. Er, way to go, uh...Quinn. Ok, and the apology scene with Jane and Daria? Lame. They even _say_ so. Nyargh. The "hush money" line was great, though.

Through a Lens Darkly: I wouldn't know. They played Daria! instead. A loss, but not a total one- I noticed a lot more things this time, and it was just really funny. Maybe that's because it was 2 in the morning. That tends to make things funnier. Among the things I remember this morning: Trent turning into his "sexy woman" alter-ego in the middle of "Manly." WAY funny. Also, after reading so many fan fictions where Daria turns out to be able to sing, it was nice to finally be able to hear in my head what she'd sound like- if she was on key. *smirk*

Pierce Me: I kept shouting, "shippER!!!" (yes, with that inflection) at the screen during this episode. Damn! The looks Trent gives Daria in this episode are nothing less than SMOLDERING! *pout* I want some hot guy to look at _me_ like that... Best "thing I never saw before": When Daria runs over Casa Lane the morning after she took the ring out, you see Trent peek his head by the front door, and hearing the conversation, goes back outside for another few seconds. It was cute, though, you see a "peeking Trent."

It Happened One Nut: This was the first time I saw this one all the way through. Best moment? (Possibly one of Jane's best moments _ever_) Is when Jane is absolutely _desperate_ to get Jesse and Trent away from Nutworld, and she shouts something about wrestling and naked women and then shouts, "NAKED, NAKED, NAKED!" *cackles at the memory* Yeah, um...let's just say I'm _VERY_ glad I got these eps on tape. (thank god I finally figured out my parents' VCR) Awwwwyeah.

Murder, She Snored: Um...I've seen this one so many times, I rolled over and went to sleep. Hey, it was 3:30am, what do you want from my life? ; ) I have it on tape. 'Nuff said.

Ok, that's my "Things I Noticed" Don't worry, Mike Quinn, I'm not out for your job. Just a different take. ; ) Hasta.

i doubt this is a spoiler at this point, but here's a small one of a shipper (which i probably was at some point) nature i noticed but that i've not heard mentioned...

That Was Then, This is Dumb: at the flea market, when Trent and Jesse are asleep and Jane says, "i guess you're going to wait" or whatever, Trent opens his eyes and (presumably) hears what they are saying. sometimes when i watch it, i think it looks like he smiles a bit. other times, i just figure my tape of the ep is crummy and worn out. oh well.

I'm very confident he smiles. I'm still not sure about that Munchkin hanging himself in the booth behind them, though.

Kidding, of course. The smile is there. The bit in "Pierce me" where Trent quickly pops his head in the door is kind of a repeat of that moment. Anyone notice when he's listening (presumably) Jane is saying "Daria, you have the weirdest sex dreams." Then Trent enters, looking very pleased. Wonder how he interpreted that, assuming he didn't hear the E.T. line before it.

Exploring the shipper within,

Intentional humor there. The _real_ apology was about Daria being intolerant of Tom. The rest of it was a coverup of the intensity of their real and deep emotions.

Yes. Watching it again, I realized that if Trent hadn't run into Monique, this might well have turned into a "real date."

She understands male psychology, at least. Trent and Jesse assumed she was kidding, I guess.

If you want Daria and Trent to hook up then you are a shipper because you want to see them in a relationSHIP(PER)

When I was watching "Northern Exposure", I was a big Joel/Maggie 'shipper up until the very end. And I used to be a HUGE Daria/Trent 'shipper up until about the middle of season four. More literary-minded people might end up being Elizabeth/Mr. Darcy 'shippers while reading Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice". Those who, like me, are huge fans of the Bridget Jones novels, could also be Bridget/Mark 'shippers (I know I was from the beginning). Etc., etc., etc., etc.
