That "spoiler" sounds totally generic and unsurprising, except for

Though unfortunately not so dark by the standards of actual aggressively-popular high-schoolers. <Sigh>

Interesting to know if this is true. We've had false spoilers about Daria before (remember the homosexual boy who was going to join the FC in season 5? or was it season 4?)

The only thing I can remember to anticipate this is Quinn's mention of going to bars in "Speed-Trapped". Diet soda has always been her drink of choice, hasn't it? Though we've seen both Jake and Helen drunk ("My Night at Daria's" and "I Don't").
