After watching "Write Where It Hurts", I had the sinking feeling that this could be the final episode of the Daria series. Of course I want to be proven wrong, but there were many factors that got me thinking on the subject.

One of the obvious signals was when Daria and Jane walked off into the horizon at the end.
Then there was the future premise of the Morgandorffer family who all seem content and understanding of one another and they settle it with the card game.
There was also Helen's serious discussion with Daria in which it wasn't latent with sarcasn and Helen pretty much describes Daria's personality to a T. That was also topped off with an actual emotional embrace of Daria's mother. That was the part where it kind of felt like a settlement of who Daria was.
The final factor that convinced me took a little too much thinking on my part. I do not know if the creative team of Daria has any control over the commercials but it kind of seemed counterproductive to have two Victoria's Secrets spots. It's as if advertising thought to themselves "Hey, since the show is ending, nobody would care if we selled commercial time to an organization that Daria fans would despise with a venegence."
I would like to be wrong on my opinion, but then again, I could understand if the creative team would stop while the're at the top of their form. I feel though that there are still plenty more stories Daria & company can provide.
