Yeah, like she'd be THAT happy, but at least she'd take it as a compliment! :)
Since this is my first post on this NG, I appropriately marked it on a very important occasion: It was 10 years ago today that Daria Morgendorffer first entered this sick, sad world with Episode 3 ("Sign Here") of BEAVIS & BUTT-HEAD (where she was a semi-regular), four years before she moved to Lawndale, got her own series, and the rest became history!
I saw DARIA on MTV back when it was new (I think I caught Episode 2, "The Invitation" one Saturday afternoon), but got more and more into it as time went by! I'd usually watch MTV for whatever animated show they gave (LIQUID TELEVISION, AEON FLUX, etc.). I originally didn't care for BEAVIS & BUTT-HEAD, until I found Daria was in it! Seeing some episodes, she seemed so normal compared to her more popular incarnation. I think she looks much better (and heartbreakingly attractive) in her own show.
And yes, with the show airing on Noggin, I was wondering, "What the hell is DARIA, a show aimed at late-teens and adults, doing on a KIDS network!?! I mean, I usually watch it for THE ELECTRIC COMPANY and old episodes of SESAME STREET, but this is a bit far-fetched!" Their handling of the show gives you the impression that this is more for Quinn's audience than Daria's! I'm pretty much thinking the same thing as you all are! :)
Nevertheless, let us rejoice in an important occasion in Daria history!
