<This is what happens to yer spoiler space after Mindy views an s3 ep.>
Now that my central newvous system has recovered from seeing Daria! (The Musical), I thought I'd get on the Internet and register my disgust throughout the world. Since my brain is still reeling, I can't really string my thoughts into anything coherent, but here's a nifty little list!
1) What the hell is with Mack's voice?! It sounds like they got Barney to do it for a *really* big pay cut. Similar troubles with other voices, but much less pronounced than Mack's.
2) Daria is NOT a singer. Much as I know and love her voice, it was never meant for singing in anything remotely resembling a harmony. Brittany is even worse - her high-frequency voice is something more reminiscent of nails scraping down a chalkboard than a sound that could emerge from any human throat. Brittany and Daria in a duet is something that will hount my auditory nightmares for years.
3) Why is Helen so nice to Trent? With al the back story between those two, I'd think she'd be a wee bit less eager for his company.
4) Damnit, it's my turn to say damnit! (Sorry, with all the damnit's being exchanged between Jake and Trent, I felt the compulsion to say that.)
5) A few jokes about Brittany's breasts were okay, and kinda spicy. But can't you find something else to pick on? And watching her rearrange them was NOT the highlight of my evening. Too much is just that - too much. Same with the constant "sucking face" between Kevin and Brittany. This is getting to be too much like something you'd see on MTV <g>
6) Despite all the flaws with Daria! I do think it had its bright spots. I could have done without the singing, though <g> I'm not an enormous musical fan, and I wouldn't have watched this ep if not for my intense devotion to the Church of Daria. And I know this makes me sound like a 13-year-old girl, but Trent really does look cute in his underwear.
It's late. I have the flu. I think I'll go now before I faint.
