The only reason I went to the Cool Crap web site was to see if there was any Daria stuff. The only thing there was a personalized answering machine message from Daria. I think this was a pretty good item to sell; having a tv character doing your outgoing message. I was tempted to bid myself..... until I saw the current bid! $462.00!!!!!! Apparently it started out as $20. Then 38 bids later.....
Man! Daria must be more popular than we thought!

Mm, no offence to whoever bought it in the end, but why would anyone pay $500 for that?? Even if you have $500 to spare, are there no better things which could be done with $500?
Again I'd like to point out that the proceeds are going to a charitable cause, so that's a pretty good thing to do with $500 if you have it.
And I'd again like to extend my invitation to record your answering machine message for only $10--a bargain at any price, but in this case the proceeds are definitely NOT going to a charity. Unless my mortgage qualifies... :-)
Especially as you could concoct your own Daria message by editing together soundbites from the series. In fact I might do that. Of course there is an example of an answerphone greeting by Helen in Daria!, which would be the obvious thing to use. I keep meaning to do a grab of the answerphone message in Terminator, you know, the one about "machines need love too" which Arnie listens to.
