That is rather true... That is really sad that the article allows students to bash others publicly (drama fags?!). Also what bugs me is the fact that one of the authority figures knew they were berating other students (Throwing rocks!) and practically praised them for it. They said they didn't do it enough is the reason they acted up, jeez, it was because they treated them like that that they decided to go on a little killing spree.
okay, shutting up now,

Just remeber that the Onion is parody, not real news. I have heard that some news sources have quoted the Onion as real news. Scary but not suprising.

Right on! Art, in whatever form, has always come first (and second and third) with me. I'll try not to bogart it.
In high school I often took notes in the form of comic strips. My Watergate series was some of my best work. Some teachers quickly established very specific rules about note taking because of me.....good times....good times...

You know what the truly scary part is? Even though this is supposed to be social satire (as all Onion articles are supposed to be), there are way too many kernels of truth in there for it not to be taken as a genuine reflection of the way things are. And, scarily enough, it's making me right now praise the Lord that I went to an all girls' high school where the typical "jocks and beauty queens" system of popularity was skewered, even if only slightly. I mean, extracurricular demons and intellectual dynamos were considered part of the "popular" circle too. THANK YOU DEAR JESUS FOR THIS MIRACLE!

Wow. Makes me wish that I went to an all girls school. <g>
I saw a news report today that said that most jocks are dumb. The story went on to say that jocks are dumb because of head injuries. I wonder how much research money went to fund that little gem of knowledge.

I guess that explains Kevin, then.
Although it *wouldn't* explain Mack, go figure.

Mack is explained by that lovely word "most". It's a generalization that jocks are dumb-- although a fairly accurate, it cannot be said in all cases. There are smart athletes. There are also poor idiotic people with no coordination whatsoever :)

IMHO, Mack's smart enough to let Kevin do anything that looks like it involves probable head injury, thus making it even easier to get Kevin to do the exact same thing next time.:)

It explains why he is so dreadfully boring. I know you're pretending to killfile me, but maybe a head injury explains the tripe you write for your inane fanfics.

Yep. I laughed and cringed at the same time. Personally, I'm waiting for the next "underground" culture that dresses like pseudo-preppies just to confuse Authority figures... of course, Bass Weejuns just don't have that slap-in-the-face appeal that combat boots have, but give it time...
