Song Driving Me Crazy....

Here's the deal; I was sitting at lunch yesterday, when one of the tunes from "Big House" got stuck in my head. I went over to PD to look it up, but I couldn't find the tune-- at least, I don't think it's there. So, I figured I'd tap the collective consciousness to see if any of y'all might know which artist performed the song. During the scene when Jake wants to use the phone, and Quinn is talking to one of her friends about some guy's teeth or something, the song is playing in the background. It's a Hammond-ish organ kind of sound, with the lyric "Keep me on Mount Everest" there's also whistling going on. I definitely remember whistling.

I've wondered this myself, as it's been stuck in my brain for some time. As far as I can tell, none of the songs listed in Planet Daria match up. I did a search at CDNow.com, requesting any albums with a song titled Mt. Everest and got a CD by Teenage Fanclub called "Songs from Northern Britain", but the credits on the webpage indicate it's an all-male band. If the song used in Daria isn't sung by a female I'll eat my hat.
