Daria, MTV Europe, New Eps, Old Eps...

Last nights episode on MTV Europe was "Through A Lens Darkly", the implication here being they're repeating episodes 301 to 305 until 306 airs Stateside. (At last, a chance for me to get uncut episodes, and the US breathes a sigh of relief...)

What was the first episode to air on MTV Europe? TALD, or "Daria!" ? I hope it was TALD, as the alternative doesn't make sense. But trying to second guess MTV is like trying to... to... to second guess an unpredictable thing [analogy failure ,:/ ]

What are Channel 5's plans...? I guess we'll find out Saturday; if it's TALD, then the US gets to see new Daria first. If it's 306 ("It Happened One Nut"?) then it's a coup for Britain...

According to the tv times this Saturday's c5 showing is to be "lane miserables", so be interesting to see what does show.

IIRC, TALD was shown on c5 as the first episode of Series Three, on Saturday April 24th.

The puzzling thing is, what's happened to "It Happened One Nut?"

There is a theory that c5 scheduled the eps in the order that someone unpacked the tapes from the carton. ;:-)

I'm guessing that mtv uk are going to hold back on new episodes until they've shown in the USA, like next week there's no Daria on mtv, it's a backstreet boys special of all things :(

What we'll actually see, well, as you rightly observe, Saturday will tell.

I think our friends in Oz can justly claim a greater coup, since they were the first to see the later episodes of Series Three.

I'm not sure, btw, that "coup" is the very best word, when the situation springs not from any positive action on the part of c5 or MTV-Oz, but from someone at MTV-USA setting back their schedule by a month; and when you can bet that this is an anomaly that's unlikely to be repeated!
