IICY? transcript

I was on Outpost Daria (as usual) finding out what noggin cut, when i realied theres not a transcript for IICY?. So i was thinking, as a public service, those of us who have access to a full version of IICY? could collaborate and write one.

Was that close captioned? If it was, I could use my capture card to rip the close captioning captions off of my tape of IICY. It would be a simple matter to format it and post it.

Cut#15 Tom invites Daria to a Hitchcock movie (Note: This entire scene was cut)

Daria is typing on her computer. Her phone rings and she answers. The screen splits in two and Tom is on the left and Daria is on the right.

Daria: Hello?

Tom Hey Daria, up to anything?

Daria: Just my usual nefarious tricks. And I'm working on a short story. Or at least it was twenty pages ago.

Tom: Want to take a beak and go to the Hitchcock festival? "Rope" is playing. I thought a film about bumping off your Ivy League classmates would help us get in the spirit for next year.

Daria: Hmm, I'll admit that a good murder movie never fails to cheer me up.

Tom: How about we meet there? It'll save me some time if I don't have to swing by your place on the way.

Daria: Sure.

Tom: Great, see you inside at 7:30.

Daria & Tom hang up. Daria types on her computer, stops, grabs the phone and hits the speedial.

Tom: Hello?

Daria: On second thought I really shouldn't leave my protagonist all alone just after her eyeballs have burst. How about later on in the week?

Tom: Umm, OK. Give me a call when you're free.

Daria: Ok.

Daria hangs up, smiles and continues to type.

Cheerleader: Especially after everyone else said no.

IMHO, keep the opening with Daria and an animated Garbage in it, that was funny and the part after with Tracy Grandstaff where they show the results of "Mock the Vote"

Speaking of which, am I the only person who noticed how incredibly skinny she looked during that segment. Prior to IICY, I would've described her as the "tall skinny blonde supermodel-type," but when they finally showed her in the Mock the Vote segment I realized she wasn't that tall after all. Then I saw the rerun of "MTV Uncensored" again, but this time I caught the footage of her on "The Real Wolrd" and compared it to more recent footage of her, and it made me wonder if Ms. Grandstaff was falling into the same trap that other actresses do of being forced to lose weight for their careers.

I didn't know Grandstaff was an actress. I thought she was a writer, and the nearest she ever came to being an "actress" was being the "voice actress" for Daria. For that, you can be as fat as Ms. Johanssen, since the audience doesn't see you. They only hear your voice.

If she IS an actress, what else has she been in? I'd like to see it.

Yeah, but she's in an industry surrounded by the young and beautiful, so you'd have to expect some social pressure. The fact that she's not a full-time actress and is already attractive doesn't always make a difference.
