A Tree Grows in Lawndale focuses on Kevin. Murder,She Snored is mostly Daria dreaming about Kevin's murder and funeral.

Why is Daria dreaming about Kevin ?

Also: It seems Daria has prophetic dreams. Freaky.

I don't consider this a Kevin episode. It's an episode focusing on Daria's bizarre dream. Kevin just happened to be the victim in the dream.

It was probably by chance. The producers might make 6 or 7 episodes to be aired as the "first half" of the season. They might not air the episodes in the order that the episodes are created. So to us, we're seeing Kevin, Kevin, Kevin; when maybe the producers meant it to go:

Probably because he's the main suspect for taking the tests, and the episode was supposed to involve a *mystery* dream. What do you think she's going to dream about? A talking lamp secretly inhabited by the ghost of her dead grandfather?

Actually, they almost always do. To date, they've only aired one episode out of production order ("Daria!", episode #307, was shown as the first episode of season three). Methinks that the "two Kevins in a row" thing is mere coincidence, and as you pointed out, Daria wouldn't be dreaming about anyone other than the prime suspect in the theft of the history test.

Also, it seems that this is the season where they put the neglected characters into the spotlight. For example, have you noticed how much air time Jodie and Mack have received? I'll wager that they've gotten more lines and more exposure in the last four episodes than they have in the last three seasons.

Heheheh :) I dunno though rember in "The Lab Brat", Helen actuallt wanted Daria to hang out with Kevin...and Jake cirtainly seemed to like watching the Pigskin Channel with him......not that Daria actually did any hanging out with Kevin but still....you get the point :)

Well, I didn't really mean *just* Daria, but I'll agree that things are looking pretty bad for Helen and Jake right now. I hope they don't break up, because I like Jake, and I'd like to see him succeed at something at least once. I'm extremely curious about where the writers & producers are planning to go with this. They seem to be building up to something.
