OK, so it's been established that voting multiple times is unethical. Not that it's stopping many of you anyway...
Bu-u-ut... What about votes from different machines? I was in another part of the building yesterday, and registered a vote from the computer I was logged into there, so a cookie has been placed on That computer. Today, I'm at my own workplace machine, from which I haven't voted yet, so there's no cookie on it.
If I vote again, today, from my machine, it would be a legitimate vote as far as the site is concerned, but _I_ would have voted twice. Should I vote again? I am opposed to multiple vote cheating, but there's not a darn thing I can do to stop you from doing it. [deadpan] Aw, gee, cut it out you guys...
Can I justify it as a vote from my brother? Shall I ask him first? I'm refraining from voting till I get some answers. Or something.

You fudge those, you fudge the very concept behind the election. But, in these polls, it has been clearly established by precedent that multiple-voting is an acceptable, even desirable tactic. These polls are supposed to measure the strength of the fan base... and due to the fact that those with access to the polls are hardly EVERYBODY that would watch the show, it ends up that the show with the most DEDICATED audience, not the largest, wins. After all, who but a fanatic would want to sit there hitting "vote, back, vote, back, vote, back..."
