Walked into EB today and picked up the two Xplorys Daria titles, along with discworld noir. Have yet to install them but any problems as yet known?
Ahh.. Purchase

The shop in croydon set a whole display on them (about 15 copies) and they all went in the first two days.
I wonder how many closet Daria fans there are.
In article ,
Not that many. Speaking from experience, I find most of them watch Daria outside of the closet since they don't get a very good view inside... :)

This, of course, depends on the room layout of your house and the hardware you happen to have. In my opinion, seating is a bigger issue: most people prefer to watch TV on a sofa rather than a toilet seat :)

Very true, although I have heard of some very strange accoutraments in Japan for comfort and enjoyment whilst upon the throne of course! (I just hope they stop short of video phones... answering from the loo could be somewhat embarrassing!!!)

Seen the fosters advert?
In article ,
Which one? (the last one was the lizards complaining about "wazzup")
chika wrote in message news:[email]...
That's Budweiser.
A man has a feng shui expert come around and the final result is a big TV with a comfy battered chair in front of it, with a fridge full of fosters to the left and a toilet seat to the right.
The slogan: He who drinks Australian, thinks Australian.
Although no Aussie I've met drinks fosters. Its usually V-Beer or something.

I think I remember an ad like that. The line was somehow localized, I think, but I can't remember it. I don't watch the commercial channels very often and in the rare occassion that I'd happen to see a beer ad, I wouldn't pay too much attention to it anyway, no matter how brilliant it was ;)

Hell, I'm a Londoner. My life is Beer. Actually Ale, not the piss weak stuff called "Lager" that the rest of you drink.

I gotta admit, I'm not much of a drinker (though I used to work behind a bar when I was younger) but I agree about lager. Just flush it down the toilet and cut out the middle man. However when I do have a bevvie I prefer a reasonable beer (not too strong - it tastes too medicinal then) or cider (not too weak though).
Oh, and I'm from Essex.
Hmmm... I prefer Wadworths 6X myself, though Everards Tiger isn't bad either. Just keep me away from the keggy stuff (Romford Brewery is now a shopping centre, now all we need to do is kill off John Bull Bitter!)
chika wrote in message news:[email]...
I guess you don't like Tennants or Woodpecker then.
I like ESX.
Ooooh, I like Wadworths, but I prefer it casked. Ever tried a honey beer?
In article , Mark Whickman wrote:
Can't drink lager at all now. Woodpecker is OK if cold and you need something that isn't going to zonk you out, but there are better ciders out there for that job.
Our girls are famous! ;)
You'd love the beer tent at the Fairport Reunions in Cropredy then! Wadworths have been doing it since it started, and we drink it dry every year no matter how much they ship over! Can't say I've tried a honey beer; the weirdest beer I've tried to date was one that used a "chocolate" malt... forget the name now, it was a few years back, but a strange looking brew. Tasted OK though.

beer?
Erm... I'm still "underage". But I do drink at home and partys (a friend of mine's dad owns an ember pub)
Be warned, two pints of 5% has the majority very tipsy. A bit like snakebite's usually about 6% but is semi-illegal.
Try fullers Honeydew or Waggledance by one of the Ram breweries.
Fullers triple chocolate stout? Continental chocolate is added in big chunks to the prefermentation mix.

I still can't understand the popularity of Guinness. It's too thick and heavy with the wrong taste.
"A glass of Marmite topped with shaving foam makes a quite convincing pint of Guinness, and has the advantage of tasting nicer." - Viz top tips 2.

My bad. Oopsy ^^;
Oh yeah.
Does that mean that Australians only watch TV and drink beer? Got a few folks down under that might take issue with that one!
Not only that, but it is getting increasingly difficult to buy geniune Fosters in the UK. Certainly the pumped stuff in pubs is no more Australian than I am (and I'm not). Same for Castlemaine too.
chika wrote in message news:[email]...
They play Rugby as well.
On the advert it says: "Brewed in Australis and UK"!
You mean you can buy genuine Fosters? As far as I can remember the adds have always had a "Brewed in the UK" message. As discrete as possible, but always present.

Some of the bottles are genuine. Haven't seen one in ages though.
In article ,
If you look around in some more enthusiastic off licenses, you can still get the CUB tins. They are a bit bigger than the usual tins we have. They are getting scarce though.

Dammit, The Coventry shop had Sick Sad Life Planner (which I already have), but not Daria's Inferno :) They did give me a number I could ring to find out if any of their other shops had it and get a copy mailed to Coventry.
Might try seeing if Game will order it for me since they had one of the titles by the same company.
